The front door opens directly into the split-level ground floor with white painted stone walls, a slate floor and large oak lintels over the original windows. To one side is a neatly fitted kitchenette with a ceramic two ring hob and combination microwave and a small oak dining suite. One step leads up to the seating area with period furnishings and comfortable leather armchairs facing the hearth with the original cloam oven revealed. French Windows open onto a sheltered terrace, backed at the rear by the old stone quarry wall. A narrow winding staircase leads up to the charming bedroom with a sloping beamed ceiling, rustic pine floorboards and a king-size bed. A roof light allows visitors to watch the night sky. To complete the accommodation there is a small en-suite bathroom W. C. with wash basin and a bath with hand shower attachment. The owner regrets that only adults will be accepted because of the potential danger of the river. Please note: Wireless internet is available but not inside the property |
