The beaches at Porthtowan and Portreath on the north coast are both 6 miles away, and the famous resorts of Newquay and St Ives are just a 30 minute drive respectively. The cathedral city of Truro and the glorious Roseland Peninsula can be reached in 20 minutes by car. There are numerous gardens within easy reach and a watersports centre at Stithians Lake 4 miles away.

There is a golf course 5 miles away, riding stables close by and the Cornish Way Coast to Coast Cycle Trail is nearby with bicycle hire available from Bissoe Tramways.
